NEWS!!! Shrew Florist is playing a sure to be historic show at a place called the Creak, here in good ol' Santa Rosa, California! also playing are cerebral Roil, UFO as Bacteria, and Drinking Coffee From Counselor Troi's Head (Jared and Cory from Shrew are in this band also)! this will actually be the 1st show for Troi in about 13 or so years! CRAZY!!! so, the show is invite only, so e-mail us a shrewflorist@yahoo.com to get details about how to get there, etc. etc. also, this is the very 1st and very last show at the Creak! NOOOOO!!!!!!! so come to this show!
NEWS!!! Shrew Florist has just played a (stupidly not advertised by me here on this site - D'Oh!!!) awesome festival this past April 11th, 2008 - it was the San Francisco stop of a touring festival (the International Noise Conference - you can find the link in our SHOWS section here on this site to see if it's coming your way!), where each city it hits features tons and tons of awesome artists and projects! we were very lucky to get a chance to play such an awe-inspiring and totally creative-charging event! seriously, the whole place just oozed of mojo, it was so fun! and the place it was held at was most interesting and awesome, indeed! a couple of rooms, a couple of areas of music, a make-shift bar and everything! very very rad!!! we had a serious good time, saw some amazing performances, and we finally "de-virginized" new member Eli, who until this show had never played live anywhere or at any time! he had a blast, played very well, and all 6 of us made it to the performance, which was the first time this has ever happened! we did have some sound problems, however (lack of volume on some people, too much for others) so the recording we have is like 1/2 of what was actually going on at the moment......we got complaints after our set that Veronica and Nicole's microphones were way too quiet, so that's really too bad! but, the recording will surface in some shape or another really soon! if you made it to the show, thanks for coming to the event! we hope you dug the whole evening, as well as our little Shrew set!
NEWS!!! 2 specially limited Shrew Florist album releases were done up all DIY style recently by Serpent Movement Recordings, and we had those at the most recent Shrew show to hand out, which was nice! one of the limited releases was the album "SNAP" on a DIY packaged CDr, limited to 12 copies. all of "SNAP" are now SOLD OUT. the other limited release was the DIY packaged CDr album "the Wire Storm", which was limited to 17 copies. we have 2 of those left for anyone interested! hit up Serpent Movement if you're hungry for some Shrew-ness!!! get in on this shiznit before they're gone, yo!: www.serpentmovement.com !!!
MORE NEWS!!! the finale of our 3-person Shrew Florist set at last October 2007's NorCal Noisefest has been done up and posted really nice and neat and cool up on YouTube, and you can now find this neat little video on our VIDEOS page here on this website, as well!
